Pallet Rack Upright Frame for Selective Warehouse Storage Systems

This 96" pallet rack upright frame is designed for standard selective pallet racking systems operating within moderate load ranges. It provides structural support for beam levels and is intended for facilities using conventional pallet storage with consistent load profiles.

This frame is not designed for high-density systems or heavy industrial loads exceeding 10,000 lb per bay. Use higher-capacity frames for those applications.

What This Frame Is Used For

This upright frame is the vertical load-bearing component in a pallet racking system. It connects with beams to create storage levels and transfers load to the concrete slab.

Use this frame when:

Depth Selection

42" depth: Standard choice for 48" pallets. This depth allows controlled pallet overhang and is commonly used in selective pallet rack systems.

48" depth: Provides fuller pallet support and reduces overhang, but requires more floor space.

Incorrect depth selection can reduce load stability, create unsafe pallet positioning, and affect forklift handling.

Height Considerations

The 96" frame height must be evaluated against ceiling height, sprinkler clearance requirements, and forklift lift height.

Failure to validate these constraints can result in non-compliant installation or inaccessible upper beam levels.

This rating assumes 48" beam spacing and a uniformly distributed static load. Actual capacity depends on beam spacing, number of beam levels, first beam height, load distribution, slab thickness, anchoring conditions, and seismic requirements.

Adding beam levels increases connection points and improves structural stability. Wide spacing between levels reduces system capacity.

Final system capacity should be verified for seismic requirements, permit applications, and site-specific configurations.
