Handling & Use Requirements

Equipment must be used within rated load capacities and installed on suitable warehouse flooring. Improper loading, uneven distribution, or use outside intended applications can result in structural failure.

Inspect all shipments upon delivery and note any freight damage before signing. Installation and final configuration should be verified by qualified personnel to ensure safe operation.

Delivery & Freight Shipping

All equipment ships via LTL or dedicated freight carriers and is delivered curbside or dock-high depending on facility setup. Liftgate service is not included unless specifically requested at the time of quote.

You are responsible for unloading the shipment and must have appropriate equipment (forklift or dock access) available at delivery. Failure to meet delivery requirements may result in re-delivery fees.

Inspect all items upon arrival before signing the Bill of Lading. Any visible damage must be noted at delivery—claims cannot be processed after acceptance without documentation.

Lead times vary based on product type, configuration, and supplier availability. You will receive confirmation of estimated ship dates after order review.

Description

Portable High-Density Warehouse Storage Without Permanent Racking

Portable stacking rack base designed for modular warehouse storage systems that stack 3–5 levels high. Use with compatible stacking rack posts to create high-density vertical storage without permanent pallet racking, anchors, or floor-mounted systems.

Stacking racks are ideal for warehouses, manufacturing facilities, 3PL operations, tire distributors, and seasonal overflow storage where layouts change frequently or additional vertical capacity is needed quickly. Fully assembled racks can be moved by forklift as a single unit, allowing inventory to be reconfigured without fixed racking installations.

This product includes the stacking rack base only. Compatible stacking rack posts are sold separately.

Best For

  • Seasonal overflow inventory
  • Portable warehouse storage
  • Tire and wheel distribution
  • Manufacturing WIP storage
  • Mixed pallet storage
  • Lumber, tubing, and long material storage
  • 3PL and flexible warehouse layouts

Do NOT Use If

  • You need permanent seismic-rated pallet racking
  • Loads exceed the rack’s rated capacity
  • Floor conditions are uneven or unstable
  • You require ASRS or automated warehouse compatibility
  • You intend to stack racks without compatible posts

Why Warehouses Use Stacking Racks

  • Instant Vertical Storage: Stack fully assembled racks 3–5 levels high to maximize warehouse cube utilization without installing permanent racking systems.
  • Portable Layout Flexibility: Move loaded racks using a forklift to reconfigure storage layouts, create overflow zones, or support seasonal inventory changes.
  • No Installation Required: Posts insert directly into the base sockets with no bolts, anchors, permits, or fixed rack installation required.
  • Space-Saving Nesting Design: When empty, bases nest together to reduce floor space consumption during low-inventory periods.
  • Cost-Effective Alternative to Pallet Racking: Stack racks provide expandable vertical storage without the cost and permanence of fixed pallet rack systems.

How the Stacking Rack System Works

Each complete stacking rack system consists of:

  • One stacking rack base
  • Four compatible stacking rack posts

Posts slide directly into the corner sockets of the base without tools or hardware.

Each post includes integrated stacking targets that align with the rack above, while the base includes alignment targets for stable stacking below. Once assembled, racks can safely stack 3–5 levels high depending on load weight, forklift capability, and warehouse operating conditions.

Choosing the Right Base Size

Base Size Best For
42" × 48" Standard 40" × 48" pallets with minimal excess footprint
48" × 48" Bulk bags, irregular loads, added side clearance
36" × 60" Lumber, textile rolls, long products
42" × 60" Pipe, tubing, elongated materials
60" × 60" Large totes, agricultural products, oversized goods

Expert Recommendation

For most standard warehouse pallet applications, the 42" × 48" base is the preferred configuration because it supports standard pallets while minimizing unnecessary floor space.
